August is a special time in Székesfehérvár, with the city’s most significant event being the interdisciplinary festival organized around St. Stephen’s Day (20 August).
The city hosts an international folk dance festival, popular music concerts, brass band and military band performances, children’s programs, and the parade of historical giant puppets.
As part of the program series, the Knights’ Day and the Coronation Festive Games promise a three-day medieval time-travel adventure filled with stories and legends.
The city’s most colorful period concludes on August 20 with a spectacular gala performance.
Most programs are free, while events with entrance fees are indicated by the organizers.
