Clockwork Show
The figures of the clockwork show depict Hungarian kings whose names are tied to legends. The figures appear at 10 AM and then every two hours in the afternoon, at 2 PM, at 4 PM, and at 6 PM, accompanied by bell chimes.
During the Christmas holidays, the clockwork show plays festive melodies. It has been a long-standing tradition for the clockwork to play Gaudeamus Igitur and a Sárospatak student song (both common tunes at graduations) for the entire month of May (when high school graduations take place), with the historical figures replaced by characters from school life.
In the Clock Museum, hundreds of timepieces from different eras are displayed, including wall, table, pocket, and wristwatches, as well as a 17th-century tower clock mechanism. The museum can be visited upon prior booking, with a minimum group size of 10 people.
