Lecsó Cooking Festival
The spotlight is on lecsó (lecho, a Hungarian vegetable stew) in the second week of September. Each year, more than 500 cooking spots are set up in downtown Székesfehérvár where families, groups of friends, and colleagues grab their wooden spoons to prepare the best lecsó. A professional jury evaluates the dishes entered in the competition, and the winner is crowned in a festive ceremony. Visitors can enjoy all-day family and children’s programs and concerts at one of the city’s most popular gastronomic events.
