In 1991, a so-called blue-dyed restaurant with a typical Hungarian cuisine was opened. It had only 40 seats and soon required expansion as it became more and more popular among guests. All the six members of the Ritter family took their part in the hard work. Everything was planned and implemented by us as we are competent in architecture, design, tourism and catering. The renovation of self-collected furniture was also done by our professional employees.
After continuous innovations, we now operate a 46-room hotel and a 250-seat restaurant with 4 separate rooms of different sizes and a 100-seat garden. We also await our guests with pools, saunas, gym, children’s corner and Xbox room. All our hotel rooms and restaurant rooms have different design and atmosphere which make Hotel Szárcsa special. We consider development and modernization inevitable to provide better-quality services to our guests. In 2014, an elevator was completed, furthermore, new family suites, a renovated restaurant terrace with new furniture and a refurbished indoor wellness center reached completion.
We continue to renovate our hotel rooms, about 5-8 rooms go through a complete renovation each year. We plan to replace old TV sets with modern LCD ones. Among further plans there are the renovation of the indoor wellness center and its expansion with a children’s pool and an experience pool, the opening of a new banquet hall and the complete renovation of the Gerendás restaurant.
